The Sustainable Energy Development Office provides funding and grants to:
• Encourage the uptake of renewable energy systems and energy efficient
products and practices in Western Australia
• Provide cost effective, renewable energy supply options for people living
and working in remote areas of Western Australia
• Support the development of the sustainable energy industry in Western
Australia.
Please note that the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage & Arts (DEWHA) is responsible for the Solar Homes and Communities Plan, through which rebates were available for installing household PV systems. This program has now closed, but DEWHA has provided advice that this will be replaced by the Solar Credits Scheme.
The hotline number for DEWHA is 1800 808 571 and the relevant webpage is http://www.environment.gov.au/rebates/index.html
The following guide is provided to help identify which programs you may
be eligible for. Note that eligibility criteria apply for each program
and that, in general, you cannot get a rebate or grant through two programs
for the same sustainable energy project.
