Funding is available from the Sustainable Energy Development Office to assist agencies to comply with the requirements of the Energy Smart Government Policy.

•	Facilitation Grants are available to:
	-	identify or obtain details of energy saving opportunities;
	-	implement systems to increase the accuracy of energy data; and
	-	undertake small capital projects or demonstration projects.

Who can apply?

Any State Government agency that is participating in the Energy Smart Government Program can access this funding, subject to meeting key eligibility criteria.

When to apply

To ensure that funding is available for your project, in-principle approval should be sought before seeking quotations. Funding will not be allocated to any project until approval is granted.

If you have already sought quotations for your project you may still apply for funding, but funding is not guaranteed until approval has been granted. Any agency that proceeds to undertake a project without first seeking approval for funding, does so at the risk that Energy Smart Government funding will not be granted to cover the cost of the project.
