OOE Grants Program

As of January 2010, the Office of Energy (OOE) Grants Program (formerly SEDO Grants Program) is closed for applications, and no further funding rounds will be held. The Office of Energy wishes to acknowledge the efforts of current and past applicants and funding recipients who have demonstrated their commitment to the development and use of sustainable energy in Western Australia.

The program has been closed due to a Government decision to implement cost savings and reduce overall public sector expenditure.

Program History and Achievements

The program was established in 2006 to provide grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 for:

  • community-based sustainable energy projects; and
  • sustainable energy research and development projects.

Since 2006, the program has resulted in:

  • the approval and funding of 54 successful community-based and research and development initiatives.
  • $1.53m in government funding provided to Western Australian organisations.
