Helping Industry

The Sustainable Energy Development Office is developing a program to help grow the sustainable energy industry in Western Australia. It currently provides support for the industry through a range of financial incentive programs and through the provision of information to both industry and end users of sustainable energy products and services.

Two wind turbines operating in rural Western Australia Funds are available through the:

The first three programs provide funding to users of sustainable energy technologies, while the last also provides seed funding and other support for the research, development and commercialisation of locally produced sustainable energy technologies. The Sustainable Energy Development Office has established an on-line database for the sustainable energy industry for ease in access to sustainable energy products and services. See the Energy Smart Directory.

There are a number of organisations throughout Australia which also seek to develop the sustainable energy industry and industry more generally. The Sustainable Energy Development Office provides access to these organisations through its Energy Smart Links.
